Do you need SEO tools ?
Search Engine Optimisation is not rocket science - there is a certain flair involved but mostly it is mostly time consuming and repetitive. I hope to document many of the best tools on this page which will be useful in either SEO or Marketing affiliate schemes.
One of the first tools I would like to tell you about - is not really an SEO tool but an affiliate tool. For many Amazon is the first foray into the world of affiliate marketing. Maybe you have a niche web site and want to make a few pounds on the side - Amazon is probably one of your best choices.
For the part or full time affiliate - Amazon is also a great choice - the commision rates vary from 4% up to 10% but the conversion rate can be a lot higher than many other web sites due to the trusted name.
If you were the only affiliate working on promoting Amazon products you would be seriously wealthy - unfortunately you will not be alone - type the name of a popular product into Google and check if there's an Amazon Advertisement - I bet there will be !
There are two general ways of promoting products via Amazon - via Pay per Click or Organic search results. Amazon Hunter is useful in both these situations but probably more geared to PPC. Most affiliates specialising in Amazon marketing would use both but PPC gives the most instant results (but not rewards as Amazon pay commision three months later!)
To start registering sales instantly you need to set up an adwords account (see our web page) and also an Amazon Affiliate account. Anyway it's quite simple to use adwords to promote Amazon goods - you simply set up an advert and when searchers click they get sent directly to the Amazon site - anything they buy you will gain commision on.
The main difficulty is that Google will only allow one advert per search term - which goes to the highest bidder. So if you want to send searchers of the phrase "PS3" to the Amazon Playstation page you will have to outbid all the other Amazon affiliates ( there were many ways around this until recently!). This means instead of paying 2p per click you may pay 20p per click and you'll definately lose lots of money if you try.
Amazon Hunter helps you research products to promote on Amazon - including German. Canada, USA,French, UK and Canada sites. What it basically does is give you a list of products in any category, what it costs, the Amazon Sales Rank (how many sales on Amazon) and crucially if any affiliates are bidding on the product.
It's pretty stable although does crash occasionally and it pretty much does what it says. The only obvious problem is that the search term for a product (which Amazon Hunter checks for affiliates) is often wrong but the program does encourage you to check and edit this field.
If you are planning on spending any time or money promoting Amazon products you'll probably benefit from this. It's one of the few Internet marketing products I use every day.
Heres the link - if you're serious about promoting on Amazon you'll definately get huge value from this product but if you're just sticking a few ads up on a web site/blog and leaving them - I wouldn't bother buying.
By the way you'll see "Day Job Killer" mentioned in the Advert - don't buy that its really not worth it - it's sensible stuff but nothing very new and nothing which you can't learn yourself.
